Lawn care professionals, beware. You never know what could be lurking beneath the soil and vegetation you maintain for clients each day.
An El Paso, Texas, homeowner found a live grenade on his property while doing some yard work recently.
“He brought it to the Pebble Hills Regional Command, which forced the regional command center to close down for about an hour and a half as they called the bomb squad in, to determine what kind of device it was and what they were going to do with it.”
Bomb specialists from Fort Bliss were called in to dispose of the grenade, which turned out to be rather old – but still contained live explosives.
