Uchiyama joined Maruyama Manufacturing in Japan in 2012 after an early career as a mechanical designer. Growing up around agricultural machinery, he developed a deep understanding of machines and their practical applications. His journey within Maruyama has included domestic sales, product planning and leadership roles, where he worked to bridge the gap between engineering and customer needs.

In October 2024, Uchiyama relocated from Japan to the United States to serve as vice president of Maruyama U.S. In this role, he spearheaded initiatives to expand brand awareness, strengthen dealer partnerships and bring Japanese engineering excellence to the North American market.

“As president, my mission is clear: to make Maruyama a well-known and trusted brand among landscapers and farmers across the United States,” Uchiyama says. “We are committed to building products with legendary Japanese quality, while fostering deep relationships with our customers, partners, and distributors. Trust, communication, and collaboration will be the foundation of our success.”

Under Uchiyama’s leadership, Maruyama U.S. looks forward to celebrating its 40th anniversary of Maruyama U.S., marking four decades of service and innovation in the American market.

"Our goal is not only to deliver high-performance products but also to showcase the expertise and dedication of the people behind Maruyama.," Uchiyama says. "Together with our partners, we will continue to grow and shape a sustainable future for the industry.”
