In May 1981, Greener Lawn Care made its debut in the Cumberland, Md. area providing liquid fertilizer, and weed, insect, and crabgrass control.
Since then it has grown in its services providing full vegetation control, lime treatments, grub treatments, organic fertilizers and lawn aeration.
The company services Allegany, Mineral, and Garrett counties plus portions of Washington, Bedford, Morgan and Hampshire counties.
Owners Don and Wilma Mallow began Greener Lawn Care in 1980 after attending a landscaping convention. It was a new concept and no one in the area offered such a service. Since that time, Craig and Christy Martin (the Mallow’s daughter and son-in-law) have managed and operated the business.
It is their goal to provide a premium lawn care service to the local area that is customer and pet friendly.
Until recently, liquid applications were the mainstay of the operation but in keeping pace with “cutting edge” technologies, granular products are being incorporated into their lawn care program. The company is a member of Professional Land Care Network.
They continue to beautify the community one yard at a time.
