ORLANDO, Fla. – Orlando-based Massey Services has been recognized as the first-ever recipient of the Public Relations Society of America's Frank R. Stansberry Ethics Award. Massey Services says it earned this honor by fostering a culture of ethical behavior toward team members, customers and vendors.
The Frank R. Stansberry Award is named for a University of Central Florida professor in the school of communications and public relations and is bestowed on a single company by the Orlando chapter of the Public Relations Society of America.
"I'm pleased and honored to accept this award on behalf of everyone in our comapny," said Tony Masset, executive vice president and COO of Massey Services. "This is at the heart of the way we do business and a major part of our company's guiding philosophy, written by my father almost 15 years ago. All of our team members are taught, constantly reminded and managed on the principles of behaving with honesty and integrity."
Tony Massey will accept the Frank R. Stansberry Ethics Award on behalf of his father, the company found and CEO Harvey Massey, and the company's more than 650 team members at a luncheon on Aug. 18 at the Citrus Club in Orlando.
Massey Services is one of the nation's largest service companies. The company and its subsidiaries provide residential and commercial pest control, termite protection and lawn, tree and shrub care services to more than 141,000 customers from 50 service centers throughout Florida and Georgia.
