Holding a BS in agronomy and an MS in crop science, Shipp previously spent six years as a research scientist for Monsanto and The Scotts Co., where he engaged in agrochemical and fertilizer development for both the professional and consumer markets. More recently, he was a research associate and lecturer in the department of horticulture of Louisiana State University, where his responsibilities included applied turfgrass research and teaching turfgrass classes to undergraduate and graduate students. With more than 10 years of plant and soil science experience, Matt has acted as an independent researcher and consultant to major agrochemical and fertilizer companies across the US.
“Naturally, we are very pleased to have Matt on board,” comments Rich Aleo, president and CEO of Organic-Gro. “His extensive, practical experience, coupled with his strong academic background in agronomy make a great addition to our team. His expertise is certain to help us further our research and development efforts and to fine tune the value statement of our products.”
