Matthew Dziedzic Appointed to TREE Fund Board of Directors

GLENVIEW, Ill – Autumn Tree Care Experts is pleased to announce that Matthew Dziedzic, president, has been appointed to the Tree Research & Education Endowment Fund (TREE Fund) board of directors. Dziedzic will serve as one of two Tree Care Industry Association (TCIA) representatives on the TREE Fund Board.

Dziedzic founded Autumn Tree Care Experts in 1979. During the past 26 years, he has spearheaded the company’s development into a leading provider of arboricultural services in Chicagoland, with offices located in Glenview, Barrington, and Warrenville, Ill. In addition to his current post on the TREE Fund, Dziedzic was a member of the Illinois Arborist Association (IAA) board from 1998 to 2000, and served as the IAA board president in 2002.

The TREE Fund seeks to identify and fund projects and programs that advance knowledge in the field of arboriculture and urban forestry. Over the course of its 24-year history, the TREE Fund has supported projects such as: the development of more environmentally-sensitive methods of plant management; the production of genetically superior trees that can withstand the stress of urban environments; the advancement of strategies for tree disease suppression and insect resistance; and the improvement of techniques for planting, fertilizing, and adapting shade trees to poor soils. In addition, the TREE Fund annually awards scholarships to college students who are pursuing careers in arboriculture.
