ALPHARETTA, Ga. – McGinnis Farms Inc., a distributor of nursery stock, landscaping supplies and irrigation products, has again expanded its distribution network with its second merger in six months. The company announced May 3 it has acquired Plano, Texas-based Pipe ‘n Heads Inc., a wholesale distributor of irrigation products and landscaping supplies.
The acquisition was made through Jenco Wholesale Nurseries, Inc., a Carrollton, Texas-based, wholly owned subsidiary of McGinnis Farms. Jenco and McGinnis merged operations in November 1999, forming a leading company in horticultural distribution with a large distribution network in the U.S. For more information about that merger, please click here: Horticulture Distributors Merge in Southern U.S.
Pipe ‘n Heads operates 13 sales locations in Texas, increasing McGinnis Farms’ distribution network to 44 locations in 10 southeastern and south central states. The acquisition allows Jenco to add Pipe ‘n Heads’ full line of professional irrigation products to Jenco’s nursery locations for additional sale opportunities.
