When launched in September 2000, the Lawn & Landscape message board was intended to be a valuable source of information, networking and advice for the green industry. Since its introduction to cyberspace, this free forum has offered a professional, respectable atmosphere focused on expanding industry-related knowledge and experience.
However, the inappropriate actions of a handful of forum users have strayed far from professionalism, demeaning the board’s intended value and belittling the earnest contributions of many. GIE Media has, on many occasions, taken action by officially banning and blocking these individuals from the site, but they have used deceptive practices to regain access and annoy our professional online community.
While GIE Media recognizes and appreciates those who contribute to the quality of this board, we see a need to take action at this time.
The Lawn & Landscape message board will be temporarily shut down until a more secure, limited environment can be created. Changes to the board will allow users an improved experience and bring more harmony to the forum.
