Ken Thomas, a branch manager at Scapes, assumed presidency of the Metro Atlanta Landscape and Turf Association (MALTA).
Over the last 25 years, Thomas' leadership and strategic planning skills have helped him to build several successful landscape companies including Scapes, LifeScapes, Simply Green and Landscape Techniques.
“I love this industry and I am looking forward to serving and helping to strengthen and encourage our membership and our industry over the next year” Thomas says.
Thomas is an Atlanta native and earned a BS degree in Biology from Jacksonville State University. He has served on several non profit boards and in 2005 he was nominated as one of Atlanta’s top 10 small businessmen by the Atlanta Chamber.

Formally the managing partner of Scapes, ranked as one of the nations top 100 landscape companies, Ken is now General Manager of Scapes, a division of Valley Crest Landscape, and has assumed a leadership role in developing the Residential Design Build Initiative with Valley Crest, the largest landscape company in the U.S.
