Mid-Am Expands 2004 Floor

The Mid-American Horticultural Trade Show is opening more exhibition space for its 2004 show.

It’s not too late to secure your spot at Mid-Am 2004.

Although exhibit space for next year’s Mid-America Horticultural Trade Show was sold out months ago, organizers have made more room available for the 2004 event. An additional 4,900 square feet of exhibit space has now been released for the show, scheduled Jan. 14-16 at Lakeside Center in McCormick Place, Chicago.

“Demand for exhibit space at Mid-Am 2004 has been overwhelming,” described Mid-Am President Larry Thalmann III. “The initial space offered to existing exhibitors was virtually sold out by the close of Mid-Am 2003. Now that we have made additional booths available, Mid-Am seems to be growing by leaps and bounds.”

The original floor plan offered 110,300 net square feet of exhibit space, offered to existing Mid-Am exhibitors. That space was nearly sold out by the end of this year’s show in January, so organizers decided to expand. The result: the 2004 Mid-Am show floor will encompass 115,200 square feet of exhibit space – roughly 25 percent more space than was available for Mid-Am 2003 at Navy Pier.

Current exhibitors who would like to relocate their booths will get first dibbs on the extra space. Then companies on the Mid-Am “waiting list” will be accommodated, followed by those who have expressed interest but are not on the list.

So far, Mid-Am 2004 has contracted 516 exhibitors to participate – with more than eight months left until show time.
