ORLANDO, Fla. – Middleton Lawn & Pest Control is entering its second year of service in the Tampa, Fla. area. Population growth in Tampa and throughout the state has led Middleton to expand its target service areas, reducing pest-associated risks that are possible with rapid growth plans.
“Our long-term goal is to be the largest pest control and lawn care company in the Tampa Bay area, as we are in other parts of the state like Daytona and Orlando,” asserted Greg Clendenin, president and CEO of Middleton, based in Orlando, Fla. “In pest control, you have to go to where the people are. Tampa is a large population base in our state, and represents a natural leap for our expansion plans.”
In planning its growth strategy, Middleton chose to expand its offerings into the Tampa Bay area for several reasons, including the city’s population density and sub-tropical climate, which support a year-round business; legislation that is industry-friendly yet environmentally sound; and favorable economic conditions surrounding an industry which is recession-resistant.
Extending its services into the Tampa Bay area is part of Middleton’s overall expansion plan. The company’s goal is to become the largest pest control company in Florida. Currently Middleton is 5th largest in the state, and 25th largest in the United States.
