Middleton Lawn & Pest Control Trained and Certified in Controlling School Pests

Company is one of two in Florida to receive designation to provide special care to schools.

Middleton Lawn & Pest Control, based in Orlando, Fla., earned the QualityPro Schools designation, as further proof of its continued commitment to service excellence.

QualityPro Schools is an accreditation by the National Pest Management Association that certifies Middleton Lawn & Pest Control has been trained and certified in controlling pests in elementary, middle and high schools.  The company is the second in the state of Florida to receive this special certification.

QualityPro Schools companies are required to provide reduced-risk integrated pest management (IPM), or a limited use of insecticide, when treating or preventing pests in schools.

“Middleton Lawn & Pest Control has always been committed to the safety and well-being of children,” said Greg Clendenin, president and CEO of Middleton Lawn & Pest Control.  “Providing pest control service to schools requires a careful and environmentally friendly technique.  Middleton Lawn & Pest Control has taken the necessary steps to meet schools’ unique needs.”

To become a designated QualityPro Schools company, all technicians and sales people who service schools must be experienced, trained and tested on school IPM techniques above and beyond the state requirements. Companies must meet qualifications built on five key principles: business operations, consumer relations, environmental stewardship, technician training and school integrated pest management. These qualifications include employing only highly trained, credentialed personnel; offering a clear, easy-to-understand warranty; maintaining a drug-free workplace; advertising truthfully and ethically; and maintaining an up-to-date insurance policy.
