Orion-based Miller Landscape has completed its operations division transformation by promoting two senior-level maintenance team members. Effective immediately, Kevin Greaves and Marty Miller will take on the roles of operations manager, maintenance department and director of landscape management, respectively.
In his role as Operations Manager, Greaves will oversee the field staff and day-to-day operations within the maintenance department. He will work closely with the department’s account managers to ensure efficient production while also maintaining quality. Part of that efficiency effort will include working with the Director of Landscape Management to meet monthly and quarterly profitability goals. Greaves has been a member of the Miller Landscape team for three years, previously serving as the maintenance department production manager.
As the Director of Landscape Management, Marty Miller’s primary focus will be on the development and redemption of the department’s financial plan in conjunction with the general manager and Greaves. With a broad focus on the department’s growth and profitability, Miller will also be involved in identifying and pursing business development opportunities, coordinating with HR to ensure that current and future staffing needs are met, developing, and maintaining client relationships and long-term planning and goal setting. As a 25-year veteran of the company, he is well-versed in all aspects of maintenance operations.
Miller Landscape General Manager Jeremy Miller notes that both Greaves and Miller possess thorough industry knowledge, have earned the respect of their peers, and have consistently demonstrated a record of achievement and success.
The GM also shared that these recent promotions fulfill a long-term goal of transforming the structure of the company’s operations division fueled largely by its growth.
“As our operations division continues to grow, we’re taking steps to transform the company structure to better accommodate their needs. Last year we announced similar promotions within our project group. Now, Kevin and Marty’s roles will mirror that same structure,” Jeremy Miller says. “These moves have strengthened our operations department on both sides of the house with a team that is able to keep an eye on long-range planning, growth and profitability while also closely managing day-to-day work activity, team member efficiency and career development.”
