The Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce named a landscape company to its Future 50 list due to rapid growth in revenue and employment over the last eight years, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports. Tim and Melody Narr, owners of Sussex, Wis.-based LandWorks, have grown their company from 10 employees and $250,000 in revenue in 1998 to 55 employees and a projected $5 million in revenue this year.
After starting out doing landscape maintenance and snow removal, the business took off largely from referrals and expanded with a landscape design and construction division.
More growth is ahead: The company plans to double the size of its 5,000-square-foot headquarters building.
