NALP launches free online training program for members

The National Association of Landscape Professionals has launched a free online training for its contractor members.

Through the NALP Learning Hub, landscape contractors have access to a suite of on-demand training courses covering both technical and business management content. The training courses are structured to benefit employees at every level, from entry-level crew members to senior managers. Though free to NALP members, the training courses are also available for purchase by others in the industry.

“Our goal is to provide landscape businesses with the tools they need to succeed, and this initiative is a game-changer,” says Britt Wood, CEO of NALP. “With this training, companies can onboard new hires faster, cross-train employees efficiently, and upskill their management teams, ensuring that businesses have the knowledgeable workforce they need to thrive.”

NALP’s online training includes 11 individual courses as well as specialized training programs, including:

• Landscape Technician Training – Also available in Spanish, these three courses cover essential safety and technical skills in maintenance, installation, and irrigation.
• Business Leadership Training – A program featuring eight business management courses.
• Human Resources Training – A focused track with three HR-specific courses.
• Operations Training – Three courses designed to enhance operational expertise.

Each course takes approximately 2-3 hours and includes quizzes and certificates of completion, allowing employers to verify learning and celebrate employee achievements.
