BOSTON, Mass. – New England Grows 2006 will be held Tuesday, Jan. 31 through Thursday, Feb. 2, 2006. This marks the 14th anniversary of the conference and its second year at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center (BCEC), the largest convention facility in the region.
“We’re delighted to hold New England Grows 2006 at the BCEC and expect that the facility’s convenient location will help attract more green industry participants from across the Northeast than ever before,” said president John Filias of Jeffrey’s Creek Land Contractors in Manchester, Mass. “This state-of-the-art convention complex provides ideal accommodations for New England Grows’ top-notch educational programs and unique exposition.”
The BCEC is a perfect setting for New England Grows 2006, which will open its doors to more than 15,000 attendees this winter. More than 1,400 booth spaces occupied 350,000 square feet of contiguous space last winter, and this year’s exposition is expected to attract a record number of exhibitors.
New England Grows’ educational program is central to the success and value of the conference. The BCEC’s large meeting room complex enables simultaneous educational sessions with capability to handle sophisticated presentations. More than 30 sessions are planned for New England Grows 2006, and complete program information can be found at www.NEGrows.org.
The BCEC’s location is also ideal. It is closer to major transportation systems than any conference facility in the country. The convention center is just eight minutes from Logan International Airport, two minutes from major interstate highways I-90 and I-93/95, five minutes from a national Amtrak train station at South Station, and the MBTA’s Silver Line World Trade Center subway station is downstairs. Reconfigured roadways make getting to the BCEC easier than ever. There are now on and off ramps to the highway directly in front of the BCEC.
Like last year, complimentary shuttle buses, with an expanded schedule, will service the host hotels and attendee parking areas during the New England Grows. Lunch-hour trolley service to local restaurants also returns this year with extended hours and three distinct routes offering 17 different dining choices.
Visit www.NEGrows.org for the latest conference, exposition, and registration information, or call 508/653-3009. The cost to register for all three-days of New England Grows is $35 per person before Jan. 15, 2006 and $50 after that date.
New England Grows is an educational partnership between the New England Nursery Association, Associated Landscape Contractors of Massachusetts, Massachusetts Arborists Association, Massachusetts Nursery & Landscape Association, and its network includes more than 30 allied green industry organizations.
