New Leader Chosen for Husqvarna U.S. Operations

Roger Leon will take the post of the consumer product division July 1.

Outdoor power products company Husqvarna has named Roger Leon as head of its North American consumer product business effective July 1, the Augusta Chronicle Reports.

Leon, who is currently the North American chief operating officer, will replace the retiring Robert E. Cook and be based at the company's North American headquarters in west Augusta, Ga.

Leon, along with Cook, joined the company in 1989 when it was a part of Electrolux. It has since been spun off. It was announced last week that Magnus Yngen, head of Electrolux, will become president and CEO of Husqvarna by Oct. 1 at the latest.

Leon will report to the Stockholm, Sweden-based company's CEO Bengt Andersson, and will serve as a member of Husqvarna Group Management.
