MUNNSVILLE, N.Y. - Ferris Industries has introduced a new zero-turn radius mower named the 1000Z. The 1000Z features deck sizes with cutting widths of 48 and 52 inches.
The unit has fans mounted directly to the hydrostatic pumps to help the pumps run cooler and extend the life of the hydraulic system. A high capacity filter and oil lines also extend the hydraulic system’s life, according to Ferris.
The unit includes a foot-operated deck lift for hands-free operation. A single pin also adjusts the cutter deck in ¼-inch increments from 1½ to 4¾ inches.
Other features of the 1000Z include:
- Low center of gravity
- Twin A-section hydro drive belts
- Large operator compartment
- Adjustable steering control levers
- Caster wheels with tapered roller bearings
- A 9.5 mile-per-hour groundspeed
- Easy access dump valves
- Easy serviceability of hydro pumps and hydraulics
