WEST BEND, Wis. - Gehl Company, a Wisconsin-based manufacturer of light construction and agricultural equipment, unveiled its new 12-ton compact hydraulic excavator (pictured below left) at the recent World of Concrete Convention in Las Vegas. In conjunction with the announcement, Gehl’s wholly owned subsidiary, Mustang Manufacturing, has introduced a similar product.
"Our new compact excavator will be marketed through the independent distribution networks of Gehl and Mustang, expanding our compact excavator line to include 13 models,'' said William Gehl, chairman, president and CEO.
The new excavator is compact and maneuverable with a 98.4-hp diesel engine and lifting capabilities over 19,000 pounds. The excavator, with its offsetting boom, can operate in confined spaces. Its engine/hydraulic management system, controlled from the operator's compartment, allows the operator variable power and flow combinations. The hydraulic system is also suited to power a variety of attachments.
Gehl manufactures equipment used in construction and agricultural markets and marketed under the Gehl® and Mustang® brands. Gehl and Mustang product lines include: skid steer loaders, compact excavators, compact asphalt pavers, mini wheel loaders, rough terrain telescopic material handlers and other compact equipment and attachments.
