KANSAS CITY, Mo. - PBI/Gordon Corp., a marketer of professional turf and ornamental and agricultural products, is expected to introduce a new herbicide formulation from its ProForm™ family of products later this year.
Not a phenoxy, the herbicide’s new active ingredient, Carfentrazone, is from the triazolinone family of herbicides that were introduced a few years ago for use in agricultural crops.
Combined with three other components in a low volatile ester formulation, the new ProForm family herbicide will be recommended for spring and autumn use in temperatures under 75 F.

The new herbicide has exhibited rapid, visible effects, complete kill in about a week and control of clover, ground ivy and other hard-to-control weeds, according to PBI/Gordon.
