GLENDORA, Calif. - Rain Bird®, a manufacturer of irrigation equipment and water management products, recently introduced the 3500 Series half-inch inlet rotor to its top-adjust rotor line for residential and light-commercial applications.
All settings for the 3500 Series rotor are made from the top with a flat blade screwdriver, including adjusting the unit’s reversing full- and 40- to 360-degree part-circle operation. The filter and nozzles are also removable with a flat blade screwdriver.
The 3500 Series comes with an attachable "nozzle tree" of six Rain Curtain™ nozzles and a built in pull-up tool. The 0.75- to 4-GPM nozzles offer a 15- to 35-foot range of throw that can be reduced up to a full 35 percent with the radius reduction screw.
A dual-action wiper seal is used for sealing, positive pop-up to the rotor’s full 4-inch height and retraction. Additionally, the 3500 Series rotor features the Rock Guard™ debris protection system to prevent materials from getting inside the unit.
The 3500 Series rotor is available in a 4-inch pop-up model and a 4-inch pop-up, non-potable (purple cover) model. A Seal-A-Matic™ check valve (SAM™) model is scheduled for future introduction.
