BOISE, Idaho - Turfgrass seed and professional fertilizer product manufacturer Simplot Turf & Horticulture has announced the release of a new APEX® 13-4-9 Plug & Liner fertilizer product.
The product is a professional micro-sized homogeneous controlled release nursery fertilizer for the production of plugs and liners. The nutrients, including iron and zinc, are combined within each coated pellet.
"This product, due to its extremely small size, is perfectly suited for small containers such as plugs and liners," said Gordon Harada, product manager for the APEX line of fertilizer products.
The APEX line of fertilizers features application-specific formulations that incorporate POLYON® controlled-release technology, which delivers nutrients accurately up to 18 months. Simplot said APEX fertilizers eliminate the need for top dressing on most plants and offer application safety.
