BLOOMINGTON, Minn. - Toro has developed a stump grinder attachment for use on its Dingo compact utility loaders. The Toro Stump Grinder's 17-inch cutter wheel features 12 cutting teeth, a wheel speed of 2,000 revolutions per minute (rpm) and a tooth tip speed of 148 feet per second.
The unit offers a 36-inch above grade maximum cutting height and 16.5-inch below grade maximum cutting depth. Operators can position the wheel index at a 30-degree angle in order to handle roots.
The Stump Grinder uses the Dingo's hydraulic system, which produces 12 gpm (gallons per minute) of flow at 3,000 psi of hydraulic power. Using the Toro Dingo quick-attach system, the Stump Grinder attaches to loaders in the Dingo line by turning two locking pins and connecting two hydraulic lines. Users can maneuver the Dingo with the Stump Grinder attached into confined areas because of the Dingo’s compact design.
In addition to the Stump Grinder, the Toro Dingo system features more than 35 attachments, including an auger, trencher, vibratory plow, hydraulic breaker, backhoe, leveler, tiller, cultivator, hydraulic blade, adjustable forks, tree forks, two-stage snowthrower, rotary broom and several sizes of buckets.
