WOODBRIDGE, N.J. – Landscapers and tree service providers have a new option for worker’s compensation programs, according to a recent announcement by National Insurance Programs (NIP) and Kemper Insurance Companies. NIP, an administrator of specialty business insurance programs, and Kemper, a provider of workers' compensation insurance and risk management programs, designed the program to meet the unique needs of landscaping and tree service providers.
The programs will be marketed and administered nationally by NIP under the brands TreePro™ for arborists and LandPro™ for landscapers. NIP also provides specialized commercial insurance coverage, including general liability, property, auto, crime, inland marine, umbrella and customized coverage extensions.
"[This partnership] combines our deep understanding of the unique risk management needs of the tree service and landscaping markets with Kemper's long and distinguished history in the workers' compensation market nationwide," said Richard Augustyn, CEO, NIP.
NIP provides a range of insurance services, including underwriting, product development, distribution management, marketing and policy issuance, which are provided through qualified agents and brokers. Based in New Jersey, NIP is licensed in 48 states with offices in Chicago and New York City.
Kemper, with 1999 revenues of approximately $3 billion, is the fifth-largest writer of workers’ compensation.
