Arlotta is the manager of the installation division at Garden State Koi (www.gardenstatekoi.com), the tri-state area’s Master ProPond Distributor for Aquascape Designs and NurseryPro. Garden State Koi’s installation division consists of nine employees who install 50-70 ponds per year.

After attending one of the Pondemonium seminars, Arlotta made a commitment to contribute more to his company’s bottom line by setting an annual installation sales goal of $720,000 so that he could afford to add a Dingo loader to his equipment fleet. Arlotta surpassed his sales goal and reached $750,000 in construction sales, and was surprised to win the Toro Dingo TX 420 compact utility loader for his efforts. Arlotta has had the TX 420 since August 2006 and already has plans to add more compact utility loaders to his fleet in the future.

“This is our first Toro Dingo compact utility loader, and it has already become an invaluable tool for us,” said Arlotta. “Right now, we’re mainly using it around the shop to move materials and construct our own display ponds. We will eventually start using it on all of our installation jobs, as well as on our pond-building demonstrations. Currently, we are utilizing the bucket attachment, and we plan to get additional attachments for it in the near future.”

Arlotta will be able to choose from more than 35 attachments available for the Dingo loader including an auger, trencher, trench filler, vibratory plow, backhoe, leveler, tiller, cultivator, hydraulic blade, adjustable forks, tree forks, several sizes of buckets, and more.

Featuring simple controls and a powerful track drive, the TX 420 compact utility loader is ideal for applications such as pond building, tree planting, material hauling and handling, preparing seedbeds, constructing decks and fences, demolishing structures, and installing irrigation systems. By using the Toro Dingo system, landscape professionals like Arlotta can complete work more productively and profitably by maximizing manpower, minimizing hand labor, and finishing jobs faster.

The compact Toro Dingo TX 420 is 34.5 inches wide and offers zero-turn capability, allowing operators to easily maneuver the unit into tight areas and pass through 36-inch gates or openings.  The unit’s dedicated track drive features dual Kevlar reinforced rubber tracks that provide full ground engagement in all conditions for optimum digging power, yet minimize damage to existing grounds and work surfaces. The Dingo TX 420 model’s compact design provides operators with 360-degree visibility, ensuring maximum productivity and enhancing operator and job site safety.

The Toro Dingo TX 420 giveaway was part of Toro’s Gold Sponsorship of Aquascapes Design’s 2006 Pondemonium event. “Toro was readily accessible during Pondemonium to help our customers with questions they had about products, and they generously donated this Toro Dingo so it could be awarded to one of our happy customers who reached an ambitious sales goal during 2006,” commented Kelly Brown, corporate events and travel manager for Aquascapes Designs.
