BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – The Toro Co. announced that a Little Neck, N.Y. landscape contractor has won a free Dingo® compact utility loader and attachments being given away as part of the company’s recent promotional campaign encouraging free demonstrations of the machine.
Matthew Puglisi of Puglisi Landscape Design received a new Dingo TX 420 loader, along with a standard bucket, leveler and trencher attachments. Together, the loader and its attachments help landscape professionals like Puglisi, as well as contractors and do-it-yourselfers, complete work more productively and profitably by maximizing manpower, minimizing hand labor and finishing jobs faster. The loader is ideal for applications such as tree planting, material hauling and handling, preparing seedbeds, pond building, constructing decks and fences, demolishing structures and installing irrigation systems.
Puglisi said he already was considering buying a Dingo loader when he responded to Toro’s direct mailer offering more information and a chance to win the machine. “I thought the Dingo made sense because of the kind of work we do and where we do it,” he explained. “The lots are small in the neighborhoods where we do most of our work and the Dingo is perfect for performing jobs around houses with small backyards.”
The compact loader is 34.5 inches wide and offers zero-turn capability, allowing an operator to easily maneuver the unit into tight areas and pass through 36-inch gates or openings. The loader’s dedicated track drive features dual Kevlar®-reinforced rubber tracks that provide full ground engagement in all conditions for optimum digging power, yet minimize damage to existing grounds.
A landscaper for the past 13 years, Puglisi was notified of his win following a recent drawing held at the Toro Co. headquarters in Bloomington, Minn. “I couldn’t believe I had won,” he said. “I was so excited – I wanted to go over and pick it up right away.” Members of his five-person crew may have been even happier to hear the news. “They were more than ecstatic,” Puglisi explains. “This will really help us out a lot on jobs.”
Puglisi said he’s considering acquiring additional Dingo attachments, such as the auger, to bring even greater functionality to his typical jobs: constructing fences and decks, laying bricks and grading. “I know this machine is going to make money for us,” he said.
