NGK Spark Plugs has some celebrating to do this year. The company has three significant anniversaries in 2006, including the 10th anniversary of its newly expanded facility in Michigan, the 40th anniversary of bringing its operations to the United States and the 70th anniversary of NGK Spark Plug Co, in Japan.
To commemorate these milestones, the company will be celebrating with its distributors in a promotion called 10/40/70. For the celebration, NGK distributors have the opportunity to tour the company’s facilities in Michigan, California and Japan during 2006. In addition to brining distributors to some beautiful locations, the tours will give distributors the chance to experience the NGK culture, meet employees, and learn more about how the company succeeds.
NGK has recently expanded its Michigan facility to become the company’s U.S. headquarters, making the celebration especially exciting. The facility has nearly doubled in size and more news is expected later in 2006 as the company work to expand its technical center to include an environmental dynamometer chamber – one of three in the country. Also, NGK’s aftermarket group has expanded its staff and products over the last year to help better serve customers.
