With the improving drought conditions and less restrictive water rules, landscaping companies are back in business.
TruGreen is the largest landscaping company in North Carolina and the regional vice president says they hired on dozens of more people this year.
"Compared to last year during aeration and seeding season, which is critical for fescue lawns in our area, we're up about 70 percent, just because people last year couldn’t water at all,” said Mike Francisco.
Francisco says now through the middle of October is the best time to aerate and seed your yard.
