GREENSBORO, N.C. – Designed to thank contractors for their business and to reward them for purchasing the company’s lawn and landscape products, Novartis has introduced the Pro Rewards program as part of its current Lawn and Landscape Partners Program (LLPP). Novartis announced the addition of Pro Rewards – which allows customers to earn world-class trips and merchandise by purchasing Novartis products – to its LLPP program Nov. 1 and promoted it to contractors at the GIE show in Indianapolis by allowing them to sign up for the program and enter to win a five-day, four-night cruise to the Caribbean.
"LLPP has been very popular with our customers because it gives them practical information they can use like our weekly TechNotes newsletter that keeps them updated on current conditions, weather and anticipated pest pressures." explained Dr. Joe DiPaola, lawn and landscape market manager for Novartis. "Now, participation in Pro Rewards will let turf managers and their businesses benefit on yet another level from the use of our products."
Pro Rewards offers several rewards that are intended to benefit an entire business, including Dell computers, Makita leaf blowers, Troy-Bilt lawnmowers and Echo backpack sprayers. Other rewards, such as trips to the Super Bowl, Caribbean cruises, water skis and golf clubs, are designed to be a reward for a single individual or group of employees.
"We know that some of the larger companies enrolled in the program intend to use the rewards like the trips, televisions or sports equipment as incentives to employees, or as contributions to charities they sponsor," DiPaola said.
Pro Rewards allows participants to accumulate points for each purchase of Primo MAXX®, Barricade®, Banner MAXX® and other Novartis lawn and landscape products. The points can then be redeemed for items like a set of two-way radios (11,000 points) or a Jeep Wrangler (1.7 million points).
In the future, Novartis plans to create a special website, similar to those that airlines use, on which program participants can check their point totals and survey potential rewards.
