Nufarm Americas, Inc. recently announced the appointment of its first president – Greg Crawford.
Since its entry into the American market, Nufarm Americas, Inc. has been managed on a functional reporting system, with two general managers, Edward Baker and Andrew Dunlop, managing the Turf & Specialty and Agriculture divisions respectively. After overseeing tremendous growth in both divisions, they will be returning back to Australia permanently in late December 2003.
Crawford joins the corporate office in North America from another Nufarm division in Paris, France. He filled a general manager’s role for the Performance Chemicals Division, where he has spent the past two years. Under his leadership, different parts of separate businesses were brought together globally to form the Performance Chemicals Division. The division grew market share in a flat market and significantly increased profit.
Prior to this assignment, Crawford was president of Nufarm Specialty Products, located in South Carolina, an industrial chemicals business with a brand of additives and coatings for fertilizers and a strong position in the custom synthesis market. He has been with Nufarm for 10 years.
Crawford has a degree in chemical engineering from the University of Notre Dame, and an MBA from Duke University Fuqua School of Business.
