The Ohio Chapter of the Sports Turf Manager’s Association (OSTMA) announced their 2002 awards program, which consists of a Field of Distinction award, a scholarship program and a founder’s award.
The Field of Distinction award is given to an outstanding field or facility manager by a member of OSTMA. Members are encouraged to submit an application for a field that stands out among other similar fields. The winner will be recognized at OSTMA’s annual meeting in December and a presented with a banner to display at their field.
The scholarship awards are for students in the turf industry. These students do not have to be members of OSTMA or go to school in Ohio. They must, however, have formally resided in Ohio.
The founder’s award will be presented to an individual who gives 100 percent effort toward their job in the sports turf industry. This individual will be selected by confidential nomination to the awards committee of OSTMA.
