The Ohio Turfgrass Foundation (OTF) recently announced dates for its 2004 events, all of which help the 43-year-old organization raise funds for turfgrass research and scholarships. Here are the highlights:
Aug. 18 - OSU/OTF Turfgrass Research Field Day, OTF Research & Education Center, Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio. The 11-member OSU Turfgrass Science Team will provide updates and answer questions about the latest turfgrass research being conducted at the university. More than 400 turfgrass professionals are expected to attend.
Oct. 5 - OTF Annual Golf Tournament, Golf Club of Dublin, Dublin, Ohio. Designed by Michael Hurdzan and Dana Fry, the Golf Club of Dublin is a championship course designed with the falir of both Irish and Scottish golf architecture. Since its opening in 2002, the Golf Club of Dublin has already begun to accumulate awards - honorable mention, top 25 new courses by Golf Magazine, No. 2 new course in Ohio and No. 5 new course in the Midwest by Great Lakes Golf Magazine.
Dec. 7-10 - Ohio Turfgrass Conference & Show, Greater Columbus Convention Center, Columbus, Ohio. The 38th annual conference and show will boast more than 250 exhibiting companies in 550 booths, 80-plus hours of education and attract more than 4,000 turfgrass professionals.
