Ted Stamen, the ISA-certified arborist, horticulturist and educatorwill be conducting his Palm Tree Short Course over five Wednesday evenings this year, beginning on September 29 and continuing on October 6, 13th, 20th and the 27th.
Topics slated for discussion during the course include managing palms, transplanting palms, troubleshooting, pruning and disease and insects - among others.
The roster of educators for the course was announced recently and includes: Kenneth Allen, consulting arborist and palm specialist; Rich Magargal, arborist, TreEnterprises, Ramona, Calif.; Tadd Russikoff, Valley Crest Tree Company, San Fernando, Calif., Paul Santos, plant pathologist, Soil and Plant Laboratory, Orange, Calif.; Susan Sims, ISA certified arborist, Guy Stivers, landscape architect and consulting arborist, Stivers & Associates, Tustin, Calif.; David J. Teuschler, Valley Crest Tree Company, San Fernando, Calif. and Guy Witney, Ph.D. in horticulture, Laguna Beach, Calif.
