Paper Trail

Find the most widely used forms you need to conduct business in our Business Tools Section.

CLEVELAND - All aspects of a job require some type of paperwork. Whether it's the proposal used to sell the job, the contract used after the job is sold or the receipts you give the customer when work is complete, every step of the way includes some type of paperwork. And because most small businesses develop their own forms, knowing what type of information to include can be tough.

"We realized that contractors were craving this type of information and that the best place they could get it was from other contractors," explained Cheryl Green, Lawn & Landscape Online Editor. "By providing a forum where contractors could share their forms with each other, we've given our readers another way to help improve and grow their businesses."

The business forms section currently includes forms in five different areas: Accounting and Job costing; Fleet and Safety; Personnel; Production; and Sales and Estimating. There are already more than 50 forms from several different companies available to be downloaded - with more being added regularly.

"We know there are many more forms out there than can be of use to our readers," Green asserted. "We are actively seeking these forms out so that no matter what kind of form our readers need, they know they can find it on our site."

These forms are provided free of charge to Lawn & Landscape Online users, but do require Adobe Acrobat to read. This, too, is free and only takes a few minutes to download.

To submit forms for inclusion in the business forms section, e-mail electronic files to Cheryl Green, Internet Editor, at cgreen@gie.net or fax them to 216/961-4130.
