Diversified manufacturer Parker Hannifin Corp. said Monday it acquired Aqua Pro, a maker of reverse osmosis filtration systems for military, commercial and pleasure marine applications.
Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
Aqua Pro, with manufacturing centers in California, posted fiscal 2008 sales of $33 million.
"The water filtration and purification systems enable Parker to respond to one of the greatest challenges facing mankind, available potable water," Peter Popoff, president of the Parker Filtration Group, said in a statement.
Parker Hannifin expects the purchase to add to its earnings within the first year of completion.
