Stoppleworth Named Vice President
Denise Stoppleworth was named vice president of the Promersberger Co., an advertising, public relations and marketing agency representing green industry manufacturers and service providers.
In addition to her account management responsibilities, Stoppleworth will now handle sales of agency services and oversee day-to-day company operations. She has been with the company for seven years and is a member of the Turf and Ornamental Communicators Association, the Construction Writers Association and the Minnesota Public Relations Society of America.
“This promotion is a testimony to Denis’s many talents,” says Ken Promersberger, president of the company. “She not only does an outstanding job helping manager her clients promotional efforts, but she is also an excellent writer, creative strategist, market plan facilitator and salesperson.”

Johnston Becomes ASGCA President
Clyde Johnston was elected president of the American Society of Golf Course Architects (ASGCA) at the organizations 57th annual meeting in Pittsburgh, Pa.
Johnston has served as an ASGCA officer for the past three years and will also chair the Executive Committee. He has operated Clyde Johnston Designs for the past 16 years and has designed such notable layouts as Shaftesbury Glen Golf & Fish Club, Myrtle Beach, S.C.; Old South Golf Links, Hilton Head Island, S.C.; Springfield Golf Club, Fort Mill, S.C.; St. Johns Golf & Country Club, St. Augustine, Fla.; and Cherry Blossom Golf Club, Lexington, Ky.
Executive Committee members who will serve with Johnston include Bill Love, vice president; Tom Marzolf, treasurer; Greg Muirhead, secretary; and Jay Morrish, past president.
Funk Promoted to Vice President
Beacon Products announced the promotion of Daniel Funk to the position of vice president, general manager.
Funk joined Beacon Products in 2001 and has nearly 20 years of corporate experience to bring to his new position. He will be responsible for overall operations at the company, including production, purchasing and engineering as well as strategic planning.
Funk is a certified management accountant and a member of the Institute of Management Accountants.
