Marathon Data Systems Names New President
Chris Sullens was promoted to president of Marathon Data Systems, a provider of office management and mobile software to the pest management industry. In this role, Sullens will take over day-to-day management responsibilities from Mike Ayars, Marathon’s chief executive officer. Ayars will remain with Marathon, working with customers and next-generation products and services.
Sullens joined Marathon Data Systems as chief financial officer in January 2008; he was formerly with Servicemaster, where he led the online marketing efforts for all of Servicemaster’s brands as vice president of Internet Marketing and Retail Initiatives. Prior to that, Sullens held senior executive roles with OurHouse.com, a leading Internet e-commerce company; Applied Value, a consulting firm; and Alcatel, a leader in the telecommunications equipment industry. Sullens has a mechanical engineering degree from Virginia Tech and an M.B.A. with honors in finance, strategy and entrepreneurship from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business.
Hydro-Scape Products Hires V.P. of Purchasing and Inventory Control
Hydro-Scape Products hired Chris Hudson as vice president of purchasing and inventory control. Hudson comes to Hydro-Scape with more than 20 years of experience in the landscape industry, and has a solid understanding of the multiple landscape products and services that Hydro-Scape has to offer its customers in order to make them successful.
In his new role, Hudson will be overseeing all operations related to purchasing and inventory at Hydro-Scape's 17 Southern California locations and two locations in Hawaii. He will also greatly contribute to Hydro-Scape's overall growth and performance.
“I am honored to join a very talented Hydro-Scape team and I look forward to serving their established customer base, working to streamline processes, and contributing to the growth of the business,” Hudson says.
Formerly holding positions directing pricing and purchasing, Hudson has experience in developing systems that increase efficiencies in the supply chain and convert consolidating inventory databases.

Janet Moyer Landscaping Announces New Office Manager
Janet Moyer Landscaping, a full service residential landscaping company in San Francisco devoted to sustainable practices, promoted Beth DeAraujo to office manager.
DeAraujo joined the company in 2008 as office assistant. In her new position, she will manage office operations including accounting, inventory, marketing efforts, client relations and management team support.
A resident of San Francisco, DeAraujo earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from the University of California, Berkeley.
Zelenka Nursery Announces Staff Promotions
Zelenka Nursery announced that Dick Constance was promoted to senior vice president of sales and marketing. Constance has been associated with Zelenka Nursery since July of 1979 when he joined the nursery as an independent sales representative responsible for Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. In 1994, he became Zelenka's Western regional sales manager and in 1996 was named national sales and marketing manager.
Matt Nease who has served in several capacities throughout the nursery, most recently as direct ship manager, was promoted to logistics and direct ship manager.
Brian Boyink accepted the promotion to Michigan facility sales manager. He previously held positions in production, forecasting and sales at Zelenka Nursery.
Paul Zelenka, Jr. has been appointed purchasing manager. His years of experience in production at Zelenka will be an asset in his new position.
Ian Smith, former Zelenka Nursery Tennessee facilities sales manager, accepted a position as a major account manager.
Brad Adcock was promoted to Tennessee facilities sales manager. His background as a former territory representative in the Midwest for a major southern California nursery for 4 years will be of benefit in his new position.
Case Names General Manager for Case Power and Equipment
Case Construction Equipment announced the appointment of Danny McGaugh as vice president and general manager of Case Power and Equipment, a Case dealership that sells, rents and services Case construction and industrial equipment. In this role, McGaugh is responsible for managing the sales, service and operations of the dealership's eight locations in California, Nevada, Oregon and Washington.
A seasoned construction equipment executive, McGaugh comes to Case Power and Equipment with 25 years of experience in sales and management. Previously, he served eight years in various leadership positions in sales, marketing and branch management at Road Machinery in Arizona. McGaugh also held similar positions at Sandvik Mining & Construction, SMA Southwest/Border Machinery and Contractors Equipment.
