Mitsubishi Fuso, Irrigation Association appoint new team members.

Mitsubishi Fuso Truck of America (FUSO) announced Brad Munchrath and Larry Smith have joined the team as district managers.

With more than 30 years in the commercial truck business, including experience with Detroit Diesel Corp. and medium duty truck dealership management, Smith is responsible for calling on dealers in Minnesota, Wisconsin, North and South Dakota, Iowa and Nebraska.

Munchrath is responsible for managing dealers in Texas and Oklahoma. He joins FUSO from the commercial body industry and also has medium duty truck sales experience at the dealer level.

"Both Brad and Larry bring considerable experience to our sales force," said Matthew Stevenson, chief operating officer for Mitsubishi Fuso Truck of America. "With their guidance, we will continue to provide Fuso customers with the best service and expertise."

John Farner has joined the Irrigation Association as the federal affairs director. Farner has been the grassroots advocacy and political affairs director for the American Academy of Dermatology Association since 2007 and previously worked as the association's political and grassroots affairs manager and legislative associate.

Farner has also been the director of legislative relations for the American Nursery and Landscape Association. Farner constructed and implemented a national strategy for the organization, managed government relations activities and served as a lobbyist for ANLA. He also worked for the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Office of Business Liaison. Farner will be based at IA headquarters in Falls Church, Va., effective Sept. 15.
