The Professional Grounds Management Society recently announced the creation of a new award, established to honor E. Earl Wilson, a past president of the organization.
The E. Earl Wilson Award will replace the PGMS Gold Medal which was previously considered its highest honor. Unlike the Gold Medal, the E. Earl Wilson Award will be presented to an entity or individual on a regular annual basis. The Gold Medal was presented when deemed necessary.
The new award will recognize outstanding and long-term achievements and/or contributions to the green industry. According to a press release, PGMS considers the award its "highest honor."
