PGMS Kicks Off 2007 Site Visit Series in North Carolina

Attendees will take a behind-the-scenes tour of one of the country’s premier grounds management programs: The Biltmore Gardens and Estate.

A tour of the Biltmore Gardens and Estate in Ashville, N.C., headlines the first leg of the Professional Grounds Management Society's 2007 Regional Grounds Management Seminar & Site Visitation series. The program takes place on March 22-23.

Launched last year, this series of seminars is designed to provide grounds managers with the opportunity to gain knowledge, ask questions and network with others about challenges and issues specific to their profession. The Biltmore tour will provide attendees with an insider’s look at best grounds maintenance practices at the country’s most well-known and visited country estate. Those attending the seminar also will  get a first-hand look at the grounds operation at the North Carolina Arboretum.

The schedule will include informative education sessions on several crucial grounds management topics, like adding color, master planning and others.

The cost is just $75 for PGMS members and $95 for other professionals. For more information, visit www.pgms.org/2007regionalseminars.htm.
