Phoenix Environmental Care added Siskin fungicide, a systemic fungicide, to its line of products. Siskin is a type-three fungicide, containing the active ingredient myclobutanil, that controls dollar spot, anthracnose, summer patch, brown patch, powdery mildew, rust and scab on turfgrass, landscape ornamentals and many fruit trees.
Siskin has low use rates and delivers effective, long-lasting disease control within one hour of application. It also has very low phytotoxicity so it poses little danger to target and non-target plants.
"Siskin offers a great variety of tank-mixing opportunities, making it a good fit for most disease control practices or resistance management programs," said Rick Grant, director of business development, Phoenix Environmental Care. "And, Siskin can be used with other Phoenix Environmental Care products so it expands choices and flexibility when dealing with disease problems."
Siskin can be mixed with Pegasus or WingMan on a seven- or 14-day schedule, and with Vital , Vital Sign or Autograph for midsummer applications, as well as with Raven, Dovetail , Peregrine or T-Bird for broader control and resistance management on most turfgrass sites.
Siskin is approved for use on turfgrass sites including golf course greens, tees, fairways and roughs, landscape ornamentals such as chrysanthemums, daylilies, poinsettias and roses in nurseries, landscapes and greenhouses and commercial and residential stone fruit trees, apple trees and grapes.
Siskin is available in a 1-gallon container.
