Phoenix Environmental Care Makes Contribution to The Wee One Foundation

Phoenix Environmental Care donates to golf industry organization.

VALDOSTA, Ga. – Phoenix Environmental Care has made the first corporate contribution to the Wisconsin based Wee One Foundation. The Wee One Foundation is an organization that raises funds for golf course superintendents requiring financial or other assistance because of medical needs.

“Phoenix Environmental Care LLC is committed to all aspects of the green industry,” says company President Owen Towne. “And contributing to an exceptional group like The Wee One Foundation is an a great way to demonstrate that support.”

Towne says a strong commitment to both the green and aquatic industries is what sets Phoenix apart from other post-patent companies “We are dedicated to a high level of industry support that is demonstrated through our commitments to organizations like Wee One, the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America, and Responsible Industry for a Sound Environment, as well as regional groups and organizations.”

The Wee One Foundation gets its name from the organization’s first beneficiary, Wayne Otto, a certified golf course superintendent. When Otto, who was the smallest in a group of four friends, was playing golf in Scotland, one of the Scottish caddies was overheard to say he was betting on the “wee one” to win the game.  His friends later thought it would be a good name for the fund started in Otto’s honor.
