PLANET Extends Safety Awards Application Deadline

The Professional Landcare Network (PLANET) extended the deadline for entries to its Safety Recognition Awards Program until June 6, allowing companies extra time for submission. PLANET’s Safety Recognition Awards Program is an annual event that recognizes companies for their commitment to safety and is open to both PLANET members and nonmembers.

Applications can be downloaded at LandcareNetwork.org and mailed to PLANET, Safety Recognition Awards, 950 Herndon Parkway, Suite 450, Herndon, VA, 20170 or faxed to 703/736-9668. In addition to the entry form, participating companies must submit a copy of their OSHA Form 300A Summary of Work-Related Injuries and Illnesses, a copy of their year-end vehicle insurance claims summary report, and a completed Safety Program Checklist, which is included with the entry form. There is no entry fee.

Safety Recognition Awards categories include:

“No Vehicle Accidents”
“No Injuries or Illnesses”
“No Days Away From Work”
“Most Improved”

An Overall Safety Achievement Award can be earned at the Gold, Silver, or Bronze levels.
