PLANET Seeks H-2B Users' Stories

The organization wants to show Congress and the media the impact the guest-worker program has on the green industry.

Contractors should know by now if they were lucky enough to get approval from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) for H-2B workers for this season. Some companies may get their workers on time, some may have to wait until April to get them, and some may not get them at all. Based on this information, users of the guest-worker program should know what economic impact this will have on their companies, their current employees — and even on  suppliers and some local businesses.

The Professional Landcare Network (PLANET) would like the program's users to provide stories about the impact of not getting the workers they need. Because there is uncertainty as to what Congress may do when it returns, the organization plans to share the stories with media, Congress, and others to continue to make the case for a legislative fix for the returning worker exemption cap.

Send PLANET the stories along with the specific impact(s) the situation has had to you and your business. By sending the information, you are providing PLANET with permission to share your story with media, congressional staff, and others.
