California Association of Nurserymen (C.A.N.) and PlantFind.com this week formed a strategic partnership that will open up new marketing and communication opportunities for both parties.
While association members will enjoy the national buying and selling opportunities through tools on the PlantFind.com Web site, the e-commerce business will expand its nation-wide sales and market presence in the nursery market through C.A.N.
PlantFind.com, which is also a strategic part with Lawn & Landscape magazine, offers members business tools including electronic procurement and bid submission, online marketplaces and catalogue aggregation, automated requests for quote (RFQ), industry news and information links to industry periodicals and guides. The company currently offers more than 260 million individual plant listings from more than 1,700 growers.
“The alliance between C.A.N. and PlantFind.com offers our members powerful solutions and enormous potential for industry expansion,” said C.A.N. CEO and Executive Director Elaine Thompson in a May 10 press release. “A partnership such as this is a natural because of the growing influence of California-grown nursery stock, offering national buying and selling options to nurseries large and small.”
