Plants at Work Announces Second Year Goals

The Interior Industry Growth Initiative's Plants at Work Campaign plans for year two.

LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Dick Ott, representing the Interior Industry Growth Initiative's Plants at Work campaign, announced a successful close to year one of the program with a bright outlook for year two. According to the Plants at Work Web site, the Initiative is a national information campaign working in conjunction with the industry to inform professionals in the public about the numerous benefits of interior plants.

The first year of the Interior Industry Growth Initiative officially came to a close on April 1, 2002, and the Oversight Committee has approved Focal Point's budget for year two. Ott was happy to report that the program had a highly successful first year. Ott extended gratitude to the media community, investors and the industry as a whole for their various contributions to the campaign. "Without this vital support, none of the year one accomplishments would have been possible," Ott said.

Major year two goals. The first year of the Initiative was most definitely an educational experience for all involved in the Plants at Work campaign, according to a press release. The Plants at Work team reported receiving a great deal of input (both positive and negative) from industry members, researchers and  end users, which they are integrating to strengthen their campaign in year two and beyond.

The Plants at Work team announced second-year key elements to include the augmentation of still more local action materials to provide sponsors with a full return on their investment; a heightened consumer saturation and a focus on Architects and Designers; a widely distributed Video News Release which will significantly increase targeted exposure, and the opportunity, through established key media relationships, to refine the education of the campaign's target market and end-users with completed case histories and follow-up placements.

In addition, year two goals include an endorsed, fresh advertising campaign placed in market trades that have been confirmed to reap qualified leads; an internal industry that has begun to accept and understand the value of Plants at Work and their personal involvement in it; a firmly incorporated lead referral system; and, finally, the promise of capturing leads directly off an established, well-designed, well-informed and well-publicized Web site.
