Walker Mowers recently marked the construction of Walker Mower No. 100,000, a production milestone for the Fort Collins, Colo.-based manufacturer.
| WALKER PODCAST |
To celebrate the occasion, Walker invited 2,000 customers, distributors, dealers and suppliers to take part in the Walker Family Reunion 2, which took place Aug. 1-2 on the grounds surrounding its production facility. Walker held its first reunion in August 2000 to commemorate the production of No. 50,000.
The two-day, family-oriented affair, which took place during a record-breaking Colorado heat wave, featured events such as factory tours, a classic car show, a variety of entertainment offerings, a Kohler Brat Fry and the Walker World Championship Driving Competition.
On the eve of the festivities, Walker President, Bob Walker, took a couple of moments to give Lawn & Landscape an exclusive one-on-one interview where he broke down consolidation in the landscape industry, discussed how future technological innovations will change the industry as well as his company’s vision for the future.
