MINNEAPOLIS - Polaris Industries is growing its existing line of utility vehicles with the launch of a new landscaping product, the All Surface Loader. The All Surface Loader will be manufactured by ASV, an independent contractor for Polaris, and will be sold under the Polaris brand name.
“The All Surface Loader will help Polaris continue to expand our product line by reaching the growing business segment of landscapers and estate homeowners,” said Tom Tiller, president and CEO of Polaris.
The All Surface Loader performs multiple landscaping functions and eliminates the need for an extensive work crew, according to Tiller. The unit features quick-attach work tools built for specific jobs, such as building retaining walls or designing flower beds, a compact size and a rubber-track system. The undercarriage puts 2.5 pounds of ground pressure under the rubber tracks, spreading the weight of the machine over a large surface area. The result is minimal surface damage and solid traction. This is particularly important in landscaping or remodeling projects of existing properties.
“Partnering with an innovative company like ASV is the logical next step in growing our utility segment,” said Tiller.
The All Surface Loader will be available to consumers by the end of the first quarter in 2001.
ASV was co-founded in 1983 by Edgar Hetteen, who also founded Polaris in 1954, and Gary Lemke. ASV designs, manufactures and sells all-purpose crawlers, all-surface loaders and related accessories and attachments. For more information about ASV visit its web site at www.asvi.com.
