PrimeraTurf Adds Distributors

PrimeraTurf, Inc., the nation’s only all-independent green industry purchasing cooperative, continues to grow with the addition of eight new members. In its third year of operation, the cooperative now has 31 members in 21 states, supported by 27 select supply partners.

The eight distributors who recently joined PrimeraTurf are: Agra Turf, Searcy, Ariz.; All Pro Horticulture, Farmingdale, N.Y.; Green Velvet Sod Farms, Bellbrook, Ohio; Howard Fertilizer & Chemical Co., Orlando, Fla.; Outdoors, Inc., Maple Heights, Ohio; Penn State Seed Company, Dallas, Penn.; Tenbarge Seed Company, Haubstadt, Ind., and Veatch Chemical Company, St. Louis, Mo.

All PrimeraTurf members are independently owned distributors involved in the sale of products to turfgrass, horticulture and landscape professionals. By bringing these key distributors together with leading suppliers, PrimeraTurf creates innovative and cost-effective solutions and generates value for the end-user.

“In less than three years we have grown from three members to 31 and built a tremendous supplier network,” PrimeraTurf Chief Executive Officer Frans Jager noted. “This confirms the need for this type of organization in the green industry and proves its benefit to the distributor, supplier and end-user.”

PrimeraTurf members market a variety of goods such as fertilizers, control products, turfgrass seed, sod, erosion protection products and safety gear. Four products – Myst Wetting Agent, Ratio Soil Surfactant, the Natural Green line of fertilizers and Quad Release Ice Melt – are   available exclusively through PrimeraTurf members.
