The Professional Grounds Management Society (PGMS) will host the first of its 2009 Regional Grounds Management Seminar & Site Visitation series in San Diego on March 19-20. Headlining the event will be behind-the-scenes tours of best practices at San Diego State University, Balboa Park and the Water Conservation Garden at Cuyamaca College.
The schedule will be filled with informative education sessions on grounds management topics, such as management skills, smart controllers, water issues and turf weed and disease issues. There also will be opportunities for grounds professionals to network with their peers as well as representatives from green industry suppliers.
Launched in 2007, the seminar is designed to provide grounds managers with an opportunity to gain knowledge, ask questions and network with others about challenges and issues specific to their profession.
